Privacy
We collect what we need to send the newsletter, sell the art and ship it. We don’t sell your information, we don’t run ads, and this site sets no cookies of its own.
01Who we are
BUYNOW.ART is published by Wundrful, Inc. in Hermosa Beach, California. This policy covers buynow.art, the BUYNOW.ART newsletter and purchases made through them. Questions or requests: hello@wundrful.com.
02What we collect, and why
| Subscribers | Your email address, to send the newsletter. |
|---|---|
| Buyers | Your name, email, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and what you bought. We use them to process the payment, ship the work, send your receipt and tracking, handle returns, and keep the records tax law requires. Your card details go directly to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. |
| Artists | Your name, email, city, website, ship-from country and postal code, bio, and the images and details of the works you submit. We use them to review your submission and, if you’re selected, to publish the work and ship it. |
| Galleries | The gallery name, your name and email, the show details and an optional image. We use them to consider the listing and to publish the show details. We never publish your contact details. |
| Anyone who writes to us | Whatever you send, so we can reply. |
03What’s collected automatically
- Server logs. Our host, Netlify, records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.
- Fonts. The site’s typeface loads from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it does.
- Email. Our newsletter service, beehiiv, records whether an issue is opened and which links are clicked. That tells us whether anyone is reading.
This site uses no analytics, no advertising pixels and no cookies of its own. Stripe’s checkout pages use their own cookies to prevent fraud.
04Who we share it with
Only the companies and people needed to do the work:
- Netlify, which hosts the site and receives form submissions.
- beehiiv, which sends the newsletter.
- Stripe, which processes payments, and Klarna or Affirm if you choose to pay over time.
- UPS, and Shippo, the service we use to buy labels, which receive the shipping details needed to deliver your work.
- The artist, who sees your name and shipping address on the label. We ask artists to use it only to ship your work.
- Our accountants and advisers, and authorities when the law requires it.
We don’t sell your personal information or share it for advertising. If BUYNOW.ART is ever sold or transferred, your information would pass to the new owner under this policy.
05What we publish
For featured artists: your name, bio, and images and details of your work, in the issue, on the site and in the archive, including after it sells. For galleries: the show details you sent us. For buyers: nothing. We never publish who bought a work unless you ask us to.
06How long we keep it
- Subscribers: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a do-not-send list, so you aren’t added back by mistake.
- Purchases: for as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally seven years.
- Submissions that aren’t selected: deleted within one year.
07Your choices and rights
Every issue has an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@wundrful.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and we’ll respond within 45 days. We may need to keep some purchase records to meet legal obligations.
California residents: we don’t sell or share personal information as the California Consumer Privacy Act defines those terms, and we won’t treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
08Security
The site runs over HTTPS, and payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified to the highest level of the card industry’s security standard. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep only what we need.
09Children
BUYNOW.ART is not directed at anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, email us and we’ll delete it.
10Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we’ll mention it in the newsletter. See also our Terms of Sale.
